Back On It

Austin, TX seems to have churches to fit every music and teaching style, environment and philosophy. People in Texas are extremely friendly by nature - certainly well-represented within the walls of places of worship. Could there be more to it than a dynamic pastor, rockin' worship team, friendly congregation and balanced programs?

I have struggled for three years now with trying to successfully embrace a church in the Greater Austin area. Every one of the many places of worship we have attended have had an excellent pastor, wonderful people, and worship music to move even the grumpiest cynic to move to the beat of the Lord.

Thank You, Austin Churches
For the most part, you all give us the most important things:
  • Bible Teaching
  • Encouragement towards Jesus's Example
  • Missions: Serving Others
  • Great Music
  • Friendliness
But I Just Can't Live Without
  • Authenticity: WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get)
  • People are the Ministers
  • Friendship: Warts and All
  • Submission to Recovery for All
I don't know what I'm doing, but I know what it looks like.

Do you? Do you want to?

Here is our journey.
